With its headquarter seated in Germany, Röder Construction Steel is the
Turkish affiliate of a prominent company engaged in cladding and siding
buildings, manufacturing, selling or leasing steel frames and membrane tents.
Business Need
Röder Construction Company was seeking a software capable of
incorporating the Corporate Resource Planning (ERP) and Project Management
processes. The key business needs behind this search were as follows:
- Systematical storage of product and action data for project
management processes, ensuring smooth access to and reuse, when the need
arises, of analyzes and unit prices specified in contracts for previous
projects, and thereby ensuring a shorter and error-free proposal
preparation period,
- Simplified process of preparing detailed proposals,
- Capability to monitor tent and steel productions,
- Easily tracking in the system the flow of supplies for tents leased
and tracking their depreciations
- Convenience in correct planning of material and service supply per
activity and further in the reflection of project revisions to material
and service planning,
- Purchasing services should run in integration with project segments
per activity, and project revisions should directly be reflected to the
purchasing services,
- Tracking business advancements within projects centrally and
reporting them in a significant manner,
- Crosslink between project management projects of majority of the
departments such as accounting and finance, and cross-relationship
between them,
- Costs arising in the project should be equal to the costs arising in
the accountancy and such costs should be displayed per activity,
- Realizing project advancements and instantaneously tracking project
profitability,
- Storage management, detailed tracking of supplies in project
inventories, stock controls during purchasing,
- Securing correct ex-warehouse deliveries for tent installations,
- Capability to check whether the quantity of supplies returned after
the expiry of the lease period of tents is complete or not,
- Capability to see when leased tents are to be returned and designing
the planning process accordingly,
- Retaining project documents and company documents in an
easily-accessible manner,
- Tracking Lease and Sales contracts as well as current movements,
- Using different utilities for the aforesaid business needs, ensuring
integration between these utilities, correctly and timely calculating
the company’s net profitability, thereby avoiding the challenging
decision-making process in new operations.
